JOHNSTON, Sir Harry Hamilton, britanski istraživač Afrike (London, 12. VI. 1858 — 31. VII. 1927). God. 1884 izvršio znanstveno ispitivanje faune i flore Kilimandžara, a 1889 istražuje Leopoldovo jezero. God. 1891—96 komesar je Britanske Centralne Afrike, a 1899 postaje komesar britanskog protektorata Uganda.
